Hi! My name is
Bobbi Marck
 and I'm
running for Mayor
of Beaver Dam, WI.

I have the experience and skills to lead Beaver Dam and continue the successful growth that we have seen in the past six years. Scroll down to see what I believe our city needs.

Everything you need to know about me in 25 minutes! Listen to my interview on WBEV's Community Comment.

Economic
Development

Beaver Dam has seen some impressive growth in the past few years and I'll work hard to see that it continues. As a member of the City Council and of the Beaver Dam Area Development Corp. board, I have voted for measures that supported many new initiatives including:

> new businesses, such as Generac

> four new housing developments

> an expanded community childcare facility

.

Investment
in
Infrastructure

It is vital that we continue to maintain and protect our city's assets such as roads, water & sewer systems, city buildings and parks. Recent examples of this which I supported include:

 > reconstruction of sections of Curry & West Streets

> a new roof & windows for our public library

> rejuvenation of Swan City and Rotary Parks

Downtown
Revitalization

A strong downtown is critical for a successful city, and it is the economic and cultural heart of the community.

Beaver Dam's downtown has undergone many positive changes in the past 6 years, but we're not done yet. I want the city to continue to use creative ways to support downtown development. Two examples are:

>  our New Business Grant program

>  our Facade Grants, both of which offer matching funds to support downtown businesses

Responsible
Stewardship of Taxpayer Dollars

Cities everywhere face tremendous challenges to balance the needs of their communities with the funding sources available to them. As mayor, I will do my best to lead the City Council in making the tough decisions that our city will inevitably face. I will:

      >  seek out new sources of funding, such as state and federal grants

      > continue to develop successful public/private partnerships that have resulted in things such as the new pickleball complex on Grove St.

O

Sustainability

Reducing energy consumption through energy efficiencies and use of renewable energy is good for the city's bottom line and for the planet. As mayor I will explore ways we can continue becoming more sustainable.

> We are in the process of converting all of our street lights to LED bulbs.

> Beaver Dam's municipal goal is to generate 35% or more of its energy from renewable energy by 2025.
